GROW in your love and devotion to Jesus Salvation is free, but discipleship will cost you your life... action springs not from thought, but from a readiness for responsibility.   Dietrich Bonhoeffer God has began working His own good work in our lives.  He desires for us to embrace the love and grace He offers,  GROW in our knowledge, love and devotion to Him, and to surrender our lives and follow the teachings of Jesus. In order for us to follow the teachings of Jesus, we need to know them.  Unless we know the truth, we can not "speak the truth in love."  As disciples of Jesus, our responsibility is to listen, learn and respond to God's calling on our life.  God calls us to transform our minds through  not only reading the Bible, but applying its truth in our lives.   Take time to EXPLORE some ideas below on how to GROW in your love and devotion to God. Essential Experiences                                                                -  Study the Bible together with others in a Sunday School class, Adult Bible Fellowship     or  Bible Study Elective offered at your local church -  Use the Topical Memory System (Navpress) to memorize and meditate on God's Word. -  Begin a  with God, spending time each day in personal Bible study, prayer, meditation     and journaling.  Consider using a devotional resource like the One Year Bible,      Oswald Chambers' My Utmost For His Highest or Thomas a'Kempis' The Imitation of      Christ -  Test your Bible knowledge at www.backtothebible.org/challenge/.  Based on your     results, pick a book of the Bible and study it for the next 30 days. -  Find a friend that is wanting to grow in their spiritual walk and meet with him or her     for six months of mutual accountability, Bible study and prayer together.
