LifePursuits: It’s important to realize that we connect with God in 5 ways. While everyone uses all 5 Pursuits to draw closer to God most discover they find Him through some pursuits more than others. Depending on where you are at in your walk, God may be calling you to increase focus on those pursuits that come most natural or to stretch yourself and discover God through a LifePursuit you might not normally engage in. Read through the below pursuits to discern which one(s) best describe how you normally connect with God, then prayerfully consider how God might be calling you to grow closer to Him.

The 5 LifePursuits are:

• Worship God with your entire life
• Connect with others in His church
• Grow in your love, knowledge and devotion to God
• Serve God by serving others
• Share the love and message of Jesus with others

LifeQuest uses these five areas of the Christian life to help each follower of Jesus capture a vision of what maturity in Christ looks like in their life. These five areas are not the goal, but the way to achieve the goals of spiritual maturity and intimacy with God.

Worship: Worshiping God is an awesome way to connect with God. Praising the name of Jesus ushers Him into our presence and allows us to feel the amazing love He has for all of us. Intimately connect with God through Worship! Along with Sunday morning worship, consider the E91 prayer ministry, music and arts department, attending E91’s Thursday night “The Rising” service and checking out the Worship opportunities in this catalog!

Connect: Some people feel God’s Spirit more through genuine community. Pursuing God through feeling and enjoying the love and relationship of other Christians might be how you primarily Connect with God. Intentionally finding community will be important for you. Use the catalog to discover the many opportunities E91 has for you to Connect into His body. Joining a small group and / or attending am E91 Great Banquet Retreat are great connection points for many here at E91.

Grow: Growing in the knowledge of God is another way many Christian’s find their intimacy deepen with Christ. Serve: Is Christ’s presence most intimate when you’re able to serve as Christ’s hands and feet? Finding a renewed joy and intimacy with God come when Believers are able to serve. Share: Many people are evangelists and they don’t even know it. Sharing about what God is doing in their life, what it means to be a Christian or just being able to lovingly reachout to others can connect us to God.
